Finally Finished Reading "A Beautiful Mind"

This is a Heavy book in terms of content and pages.But Font is very small!.
This is the book I took long time to finish.Started in 2008 and completed in 2009. Not sure if author took that Much time in writing the Novel :-).

Must say nicely written book.

If anybody wants to be Genius read this book before you pray!

There are times when I hated(in the beginning of the book) "John Nash" for his behavior. But at the end I do feel sorry for what all he went through.
This book is a Best Example for "Too Much is Too bad".

Around the world in 80 days

This is a book by "Jules Verne".
This book begins with Mr. Fogg having a bet with his club friends that 80 days is enough to go around the world. This tour is taken when Indian's were ruled by British. So only means of travel is Ship/Train.According to the bet Mr Fogg doesn't have to see all the places, just need to land on the country's agreed upon.
Author has narrated what Mr Fogg goes through in his tour very nicely. Its a small book(That's the reason I have completed this and still reading "A Beautiful Mind") and good reading.

Thousand splendid Suns

Completed reading "Thousand Splendid sun's".Its Story of Mariam and Laila.This is probably story of most of the women in Afghanistan.It's a beautifully narrated sad story. This book focuses on Mother daughter relationship and friendship between women.I enjoyed reading the book with continuously shedding tears!!
Must say Khaled Hosseini is wonderful Story writer. Great Surprise of this Book is, to know man can Understand women's feelings!!.

Not a Penny Less Not a Penny More

This is by Jeffry Archer. This is Author's first book. This is first book I was reading of this Author too. I brought this book as I liked the Title. I was not disappointed after reading also.

Its about what it took to become Metcalfe, How he cheated Professor Stephen , Dr Robin, Art Dealer Jean-Pierre and James I mean Lord James J . How these four come up with plan to get their money from Metcalfe.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. But I liked the plans these four men come up to thwart Metcalfe.

Not Without My Daughter

My colleague recommended “Not without My daughter” to me. I was reading for the first time a real story. As I started to read the book, it was clear that author had very bad experience in Iran(Contradict to what I had heard from Shrilatha). Each and every word in a sentence revealed hatred. Story is about an American Women (Betty) married to an Iranian (Moody) and their little darling Mehtob.
Good thing about this story, it’s a happy ending. And narration of story is good too. When I read I felt as if Betty is narrating her story sitting in front of me. This book is very unsettling. Till I completed reading, Betty, Mehatob and Moody were in my dreams. The day I completed I had a sound sleep, no more dreams on Betty, Moody or Mehtob.After all the tortures, Betty and Mehtob survive to meet their family back in America. I am unable to understand what helped them survive, their stamina or determination to survive the odds and unite with family?

Big Books and Me

From the college days I always liked small books compared to big books only when its theoretical subjects.
Same stand when it comes to novels. I will read 3 small books but don't want to read a single big book.


I have a friend who reads all books, whether it’s big or small.

When I want to borrow a book from her to read, I always ask her how big the book is :-)

I borrow books from my friends and I am a member of Govt. Library. When I don't have books borrowed from friends I get books from library. Few days back I picked up a book "Omme Nakka Nagu" By Tarasu from library. Isn't the title beautiful? At least for me it was and I picked up that book. I started reading; it went on and on and on. At a moment I felt like not to read full but return. I didn't do that, I guess I have inherited my father’s character “never leave anything in the middle” (But I stop watching serials when they drag a lot.). So I read the complete book.

I told my friends what a horrible book. To be frank I hated the story, way narrated. In short hated everything except the title. To top with I have asked them not to read that book too .

Then my friend asked me to read "Durgastmana" by TARASU. I thought by this time my friend will know I don't read big books. So I didn't ask her how big the book is. I went to library and searched for Durgastamana. To my surprise it was a biiiiiiiiiiiig book. But I am now surprised with my behavior, I hated the previous book I read written by TARASU, I hated big book and I didn't like history, social study when in school still brought that book to read!!!!.


I started reading and believe me I just fell in love with book. I always have a habit to read the book from preface. Whether its technical or novel. So I started with preface of this book too.
When I read preface I was sure I wouldn't regret for getting the huge book.
And I wasn't wrong.Now I love that book to the core. Contrary to the previous experience I loved the way TARASU narrated the story (Known story to all probably).
Believe me while reading the book I was praying god to help “Madakarinayaka” to win the battle against “Haider Ali”. It sounds silly right? I know but I couldn't stop feeling that way.

I am thankful to her for suggesting such a fantastic book.
Will I start liking big books ? not sure:-)


But I want to read few more historical novels by TARASU. Of course I prefer smaller books :-)
